What is AI Visibility

AI Visibility is a company's measurable ability to be accurately understood, discovered, shortlisted, and recommended by AI systems in relevant decision-making scenarios.

01

Presence

Whether the company appears in relevant responses.

02

Understanding

How accurately the system understands the company, its products, and its specialization.

03

Making the shortlist

Whether the company is included in the list of options presented to the user.

04

Position

How the company is positioned against competitors.

05

Recommendation

When and in what context the system recommends the company.

06

Sources and evidence

Which public sources shape the company's image?

Why AI Visibility Is Not the Same as SEO

Search engine results and AI responses are generated differently. That is why RECOMO specifically analyzes which companies an AI system recognizes, includes as options, and recommends, as well as the public sources it uses to substantiate its answer. A high ranking in traditional search does not automatically mean high visibility in AI-generated answers, just as appearing in a single AI response does not indicate sustainable market visibility.

How the research is conducted

First, the business question is defined. Next, user scenarios and prompts are set up, along with the selection of benchmark companies, AI systems, languages, and target markets. Responses are recorded using a standardized protocol, then benchmarked against competitors and available public sources. RECOMO then analyzes recurring patterns, discrepancies, and root causes, translating the findings into clear priorities and a remeasurement plan.

What is recorded during the check

For key findings, we record the verification parameters required to reproduce results: prompt, system and available model version, test date, language, market or regional context, relevant user context, run iteration, and accessible sources. This distinguishes actual shifts in a company's position from changes in test conditions, ensuring accurate comparisons over time.

What the client gets

Depending on the agreed format, the client receives a reproducible AI Visibility baseline, competitive benchmarking, verified response samples, public source analysis, identified gaps, and a prioritized roadmap. The deliverables address not only what is happening, but also why it matters, what to prioritize, and how to verify subsequent changes.

Comparability

Companies are compared under identical or closely matched conditions. This ensures that any performance variations reflect actual differences in AI Visibility rather than random testing fluctuations.

Proof

RECOMO stores observed responses, verifies the factual accuracy of key claims, and analyzes available public sources that can influence how a company is represented in AI systems.

Study limitations

AI system responses are variable. A single response is not a permanent ranking, proof of market standing, or a guarantee of future system behavior. Research results reflect a specific sample, systems, models, scenarios, languages, markets, and evaluation period. RECOMO does not guarantee that any third-party AI system will recommend a company, rank it in a specific position, or include it among suggested options in the future. The value of this research lies in its transparent methodology, reproducible observations, competitive benchmarking, source validation, and identification of actionable priorities.
